Western Larches
Okanogan Nat'l Forest, WA
ID# FC5
The changing of the larches is a display I never miss. A deciduous conifer, the larch tree's needles turn golden in the fall before finally falling off sometime around the first snow. This photo was taken in the North Cascades around Washington Pass. |
